Installation Study: Accumulated Vision: Extended Boundaries corner sections (of three, 4 sided Boundaries) separately projected from 12 positions of viewing. each position (not necessarily stationary) is located at a specific height above floor level and outside the boundaries designated by the designated surrounding gallery walls.
In this drawing, Le Va superimposes three levels of accumulated vision and activity as a way of planning for wall and floor dimension. It was his first real foray into elevating sculptures off the floor to allow for a more personal, intimate relationship with space and sculpture at eye level. The drawing was a precursor to his wall sculptures of the 1990s.
